Trying to get moving a little faster this am. I have a workshop at the ungodly hour of 8am. What possesed me to sign up for this thing? Oh yeah, 5 CEUs for $35...that's what it was.
Picking up ds from his Dad after the workshop. Need to pick up Jamba Juice gift cards for the kids. I'm starting the Halloween Phantom bags tonight. I always do my kids first. The older ones have graduated to just gift cards. I ordered a Mellow Mushroom gift certificate for ds1 from Austin, and it's here, and he'll be here this weekend, so let the Phantoming begin (got the neighborhood sacks done last night).
Dh comes home later tonight. Tomorrow is blessedly free!

Well I finally found a black dress for my reunion, but now my old one is fitting. lol I like my old one better, but I'm not sure if it's still "in".
Physical therapy this morning, housework, and hot yoga tonight.
Donna, the phantom bags sound fun. What do you put in them for the neighborhood people?
Have a great day, all!

I am going to a big model home furniture sale that brichard's company is having today. Should be fun. I'm not volunteering anywhere today.
The kids have a 4 day weekend, so this morning I am dropping soup off at my parents, off to Party City for Halloween costumes and then to PetSmart for fish. We will have to do lunch out too. :) I am also crossing my fingers that I will be able to hear from GM today to see if they will pay for the new transmission we had to put in on dh's truck. I am using all my "tricks of the trade" charm to get them to do the impossible. The odds are against me because there wasn't any warranty and we didn't take it to a GM dealership for fixing, but I think my mechanic made a good case for us.
I have a 4 day weekend myself. Got up at regular time- did a few things around the house, ran errands and had lunch with dh. Home now to clean up some more. I didn't get any relaxing done. :bawling:

Thinking of dressing from the 80's for Halloween, so I need to figure out how I want to do it.....Stir up pants? Madonna Look? Preppy?
Amy - Jen I want a 4 day weekend!...:( ENJOY!
Donna, what's in a Phantom Bag, they sound neat.
Angie, enjoy your day, sounds like fun.
Beth, wear the one your most comfortable in. Awesome that you have two choices :)

dh's not needing me at the office today... so I'm staying home. I'm not telling my mom, otherwise she'll find something else for me to do ;) and I won't get done with the things I need to do. I need to clean the pool, (it's full of leaves) and I need to finish up the laundry I didn't get done yesterday. SIL #3 is coming over to use the garage and dh's ramps to work on his car, it crapped out on him on his way home from work last night. Shelly gets off work at noon, so I'm thinking he'll probably be here some time this morning so they can spend the rest of the afternoon by themselves before he has to go to work tonight. It's been so nice for them being able to spend more time together since Shelly got a regular job with normal hours. Now all he's got to do is try to get on the day shift. ;)
Dh/my night out by ourselves tonight. Not too sure where were going yet... but I'm really looking forward to a nice evening out by ourselves. For some reason, it feels like it's been forever since we've been out by ourselves.
Not much else...
Hope you all have a great day!

Morning!
Feeling alittle more pep today! I got into a real funk yesterday!
woke up and moved right away today rather then coming to the computer first. Feeling more awake!
You all sound like your going to have interesting days!
Have a great day!

Four day weekend here too. Ds2 is going to watch his girlfriend in a horse riding competition this afternoon. Need to go to the store for a few things and get this house cleaned up before we go. Made smoothies this morning, wish I could do it more often but ds4 is terrified when he sees/hears the blender. If it wasn't for him crying so hard when it's on, I would make them for the kids every morning. Wasn't too bad today though, ds2 took him in the living room with the tv on a baby show, with the volume up very loud. lol Ds2 hates fruit but doesn't mind strawberries in his shake or smoothies so I added a banana and he didn't notice. Plus there was a little but of peach and mango left from mine in the blender. I may be getting somewhere with this guy and fruit!
Have a good day all :)

I would go for the whole Cyndi Lauper look, colored hair and all :) Have fun.
I tried to talk a girlfriend into having a party again this year. She did last year and it was so much fun. I would do it here but that isn't easy with a baby who won't go to sleep on his own.

Today is our 16th anniversary and dh treated me well. :) A Swarovski crystal necklace, roses and a blown glass pumpkin from my favorite store. No romantic plans. I have to drive dance carpool, but maybe he'll go with me and get a bite to eat.
Ya'll enjoy those 4 day weekends!! :)
Renee!! I was watching Ameican Chopper (yeah I LOVE that show!!) and they did and ICEE day at their shop. Did you have anything to do with that???

Teacher Convention downtown today. Ugh! How I hate driving downtown. The convention was okay...I had signed up for some interesting sessions, and the lunch was great.
Ds1 is at an away game for soccer...and the h.s. Homecoming football game is tonight. Ds2 has football practice in a bit. Might just stay home to watch a movie once everyone gets home tonight.
Busy day tomorrow!!!

I used to get credit for submitting this idea, but, I've been deleted :).
I did 2 for some of our neighbors with young kids and they have Halloween Gushers, Halloween Oreos, pencils, gummy rats and tarantulas, scary halloween balls, a magnetic pin for one of the little girls.....Target has a bunch of stuff. I also did one for a widow lady that lives across the street. It has a votive candle, Halloween spatulas (yep, there is such a thing), and some Halloween hot chocolate mix that I got at Michael's, I think.
Ds got a Halloween Magic Eight Ball, sling shot type mummy, a halloween ring from Party City and the Gushers, Oreos, etc.
Oh, and Mary beat me to it, but yes, CEUs are continuing education units. I have to have 10 per year to keep my license. I will only say that I will be going to a lot of workshops before the end of the year because I'm way behind.

I'd love to, but they have to be ASHA approved for Speech Pathologists.

Actually yes, the ICEE bike was custom made for us. COOL Huh...it arrives here in California next week.
Dh and I went to a new Chinese place around the corner for dinner....it was so nice...cute place, great food.
kids had subway.
I am tired, I still feel like I am coming down with something but I am resting and taking zinc and C....off to get cozy, the temp has finally dropped and it feels like a get under the covers type of night.
