It is so nice to see him! We went to the Aerosmith concert last night and just had a ball! dw was so sweet and offered her ticket when she knew he was coming to visit. We had lawn seats and Aerosmith actually set up part of their stage back there. They came out back to sing "Same Old Song and Dance," "Dream On," and "Back in the Saddle." It was great!

His wife flies in tonight at 9:15, but it was just nice to spend some one on one time with him. You know, I don't know that others can really appreciate how nice it has been to have a twin brother. Not once in my life, despite all the teen angst we all go through, have I considered suicide or anything like that. There has always been a great deal of comfort for me knowing that a genetic duplicate was experiencing the same thing I was. No matter how bad things ever got I knew I could always count on my brother. We even roomed together in college. Despite not living in the same city, we remain the closest of friends.

The only bummer about being a twin is the comparisons made by others. Who is stronger? Who is faster? etc. But we never got into that sort of thing. We were competitive, but in a friendly way. If either of us achieved something the other strived to accomplish it as well. But, we were always rooting each other on.

Big Daddy and Ryleigh I hope that your children have the same wonderful bond.

Don't have a twin, never considered suicide either! LOL But that is wonderful that you have such a connection with him.
Am so TOTALLY jealous over the Aerosmith concert though!!!!

I think it would be so neat to have a twin. You are so lucky to have such a close relationship with him. Dh had a twin in one of his classes and her twin brother committed suicide. I can't imagine a loss like that. :(

angie - How totally nice of you to give up your Aerosmith ticket!!! :thumb:

Twins are so neat!! My younger sisters are twins and their life experiences have been so much more positive than mine and the rest of my siblings. They've always had a best friend, confidant, ally. They could stick to their guns (no drinking, no smoking, etc.) and knew they weren't the ONLY one that felt that way. My sisters have so much more confidence in themselves than any of the rest of us ever did in ourselves.

Unfortunately not all twins have it so good. I do envy them sometimes though.

I am so glad that you got to see your brother. I am also glad that you have such a close bond. My friend has identical twin boys that are six, and they are best friends too. I hope they can maintain that bond. I think that it was sweet of angier to give up her ticket too. It sounds like you two (angier and you) have a great bond also. :)

Don't know what kind of bond these little guys have, but it's definately a bond of some sort. I have only been feeling movement for a few weeks but when I do I think they must be making it a group effort. I have often heard people describe the baby's first movements like butterflies in their stomache. With these guys I think they skipped butterflies and have gone to full size bird flying around in there.

My older two, although not twins are very close. Despite the four year age difference they are best friends.
