:yippee: I'm glad it's Friday. It's been a busy week and it's kicked my butt. I have been staying up way too late each night doing homework. I really need to figure out a way to manage my time better. It's hard when both parents work full time, both go to school and then you have dks in activities (not even a lot of them) that require you to take them and drop them off. Football season is almost done and then we'll have a short break until basketball season starts. That will help.

Whew! TGIF is exactly what I said to brich this morning when we got up. It's been a long week! I have nothing on my agenda today, so it's a housework day. I also need to get a handle on packing and preparing a list to leave with my inlaws while we are away.

No big plans today other than a walk, a bit of housework and some laundry. Need to figure out what's for dinner. It's sunny but very cold with frost on the car windows this morning.
Hope you all have a nice day :)
Jak, hope things settle down for you soon.

TGIF is right. I have lots of projects wrapping up this month, so that is night, two today.. :yippee:

I had a wonderful lunch with my Dad yesterday, just the two of us. I was really honest about some of the "family gatherings" stuff, this is the first time I think he really got where I was coming from. He shared some things about his "new" life, that lead me to believe we all compromise in one way or another weather it be in a marriage, sibling relationship, parent/child. It's really all about Love and Happiness. I love him, and want him to be happy and he wants the same for me.

Need to hit Super Wal mart for FOOD shopping tonight....not looking forward to it, but our cupboards are bare.

I have a Parent/Student/Teacher conference tomorrow at 9:00 AM with DD's teacher, funny that this teacher uses Saturdays, he can't do late conferences because I believe his wife is ill, DS had him two years ago and I remember then he couldn't to later appointments either...so I will take DD and get that done first thing tomorrow and then we are headed shoe shopping for her. I am looking forward to a quiet weekend, house work, get my Fall Decor finally up.

We leave a week from Sunday and return on Halloween, Friday night late. I'm excited to go, but hate leaving the kids. I'll be homesick by day 2. lol

Good lord..its begun.....I have started shopping for X-mas gifts. We finally paid off the truck transmission and trip to Disney, so I took that as a go ahead to shop  The good news is, I did it all from my computer chair AND I got good deals with coupon codes AND rebates. Dd got new Uggs and ds got a new hamster set up. He has been desperate for a pet of his own. His first choice was a turtle, but they live too long (sorry Bob!) ;) and we were thinking old parakeets (they live long too), but the set up for them would be close to $300. So I figure a year to deal with another hammie and having it die in my hands again. LOL

I'm at the office today. I'm feeling kind of cruddy... my stomach is a little off. All I feel like doing is snuggling up in my nice warm bed and taking a nap. I've also got a bad sinus headach, which I just took something for... so hopefully that will kick in soon.

Dh/my night out by ourselves tonight. My sister from Marshall is coming for a visit today, leaving on Sunday. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she/my mom get along this time. I know my mom isn't too excited about her visit, but my sister isn't too excited about coming down either. My mom actually woke up with hives this morning. 8o I'm not too sure if it's a reaction to her medication (Amoxicillin) that she just started, or if it's because she's all upset about my sister's visit. I'm sure that if either one of them knew how the other felt... they'd feel pretty bad. I actually will be happy when it's all over with. :)

Not much else going on. I hope you all have a great day!!!!

How nice for ya'll that your teachers do Saturday conferences, that makes a long work week for them! :)

Beth, have fun!!

Jen, ((((hugs))) I admire you for all you have on your plate!!

Dh and I took the day off and went to the mountains. We went to an orchard, got apples, had fresh apple cider doughnuts - YUMMMM!!! - hiked a little mountain and headed home. We are pooped!

I am really hoping dd's golf lesson is called tomorrow a.m. due to the rain we got today (and the rain that I hope we get through the night. lol)

My stepsister, who was diagnosed with breast cancer a while back, is home from the hospital now. She had a double mastectomy and reconstruction surgery ago today. To make things more exciting, her oldest son and his wife had their first baby yesterday! She obviously wasn't able to be there, but at least she and the new mommy will be recovering together and they live nextdoor to one another! :)

We have a dog that is 14 yrs old and still going, another dog who will be turning 5yrs old, and ferrets 3 and 2 years old with a life span of 6-7 yrs. I think we are very committed to them for the duration of their lives. I just don't want to get a personal pet for them that outlives their interest in them. I would never get something we wouldn't keep for its whole life and who wants a turtle that will live 15-50 years? ROFL

LOL! What is the likelihood that he would be able to survive in the wild on his own? That is like putting my domesticated ferrets out in the wild and think they could fend for themselves. You will have Bob by yourside for the next 40 years. ;)
