Both dh and I have to work today. He might get off early and if so he's taking the kids with him to volunteer at the post office for package pick up. They have extended hours today so that people can get their gifts. Other than that it's burgers for dinner and opening gifts at some point this evening. I have a ham and some fixings to make tomorrow after our movie. I think we are seeing Bedtime Stories. Hope everyone gets everything done that they need to!

Merry Christmas my friends!!!

Merry Christmas Eve!!!

i am up far too early. don't have a tremendous amount to do today. need to throw some laundry in, chop celery and onions for the dressing (think mil is going to do that), vacumn, start the chili and go to church at 5.

Merry Christmas Eve girls!!

I am doing my regular morning routine of drinking coffee and surfing the sites. Since I have to work, I am doing the bare minimum at the moment. Dh on the other hand, volunteered to take baked apples to his Mother's today, so he is in the kitchen (cleaning it first) and peeling apples. I hear swear words once in awhile because he finally sees all the crap 'I' deal with everyday----everyone doing their own thing while one person has to clean up after everyone else in order to make something they all are going to eat later. heeeheee. Its like the best Christmas gift ever!! :D

I can't handle the stress of holiday and I hate everything I bout people.

Any way...need to wake up and get moving!

Have a Great Christmas All!!!!!!!!!

Had my coffee and am enjoying Christmas music before everyone else gets up. Ds called yesterday to say they were coming today instead of tomorrow afternoon so I need to put together a breakfast casserole for a crowd I can pop in the oven in the morning. Not looking forward to having to cook with all the little ones running around, just makes it more stressful. The boys are so rowdy. I need to try to get as much prep done before they get here.

Merry Christmas to all!

Merry Christmas Eve to all of you. Thanks for stopping in Bev. I hope you are well.

I have a long list of to-dos today. One that I had to add is getting my car jump-started as I didn't close my door all the way, and the battery won't forgive that in this weather. Not a huge deal though, as dd3 can help me with the running around. The girls will be in tonight and I have to make dinner. I finally found a store with a small tree stand left, so my tree is done. (Remember how I wanted to get a little tree before dd came home and talked me into a huge one? Well, I did, but our stand was just too big....:grimace:) And I have to clean this nightmare! LOL I have the sheets for the beds in the washer, and all my ingredients in the fridge, so I really need to stand up and just START.

Hope you all have a day of getting things done and enjoying the spirit!

Merry Christmas Eve! Bev, good to hear from you. I hope you and your family are doing well.
Still have some housework to do this morning and a bit of laundry. Need to wrap from Santa yet, not everything will be, just a couple things each. Not too much to do yet not enough hours to do it all. lol Ds1 had a headache last night and it's pounding this am, sounds like he's coming down with something. I hope you all have a great day today:xmas:

Went into work and barely anyone was there. Very chill and lots of joking around. They were debating whether to call me off today because it was so dead there, but since they knew that would mean I would have to go in MIL house, they decided they were too scared to do it. ROFL I still ended up leaving around 12pm and I have just been hanging around in a blissfully quiet house.

Everything went well here today. Everyone showed up on time, we ate lots of food... and then we opened gifts. We all reministed about past Christmases. It made me miss all those we use to spend so much time with and are no longer with us. Funny how things change throughout the years. Next year we'll have two new grandchildren to add to the mix... and I can't help but think about how thrilled my dad and my in-law's would be to see their great grandchildren. So much has happened since their passing... they've missed out on so much. I wasn't that terribly close to my dad... but today I really missed him. I couldn't stop thinking about him and how the day might have been if he were still here with us. Tomorrow when I'm over at my mom's house celebrating Christmas with my family... I'm going to make it a point to enjoy and appreciate each/every one of them there... including the ones who normally annoy and frustrate the heck out of me, because you never know who may not be there to celebrate Christmas with us next year. I had a fun day... I enjoyed it a lot, but it was definitely a very emotional day. I hope you all enjoyed the day with your families and didn't eat too much, which I definitely did. I better do much better tomorrow, although I doubt I will. I'm going to have to do triple time on my treadmill to make up for everything I've eaten... but somehow knowing that I'm not the only one overindulging on Christmas somehow makes me feel not so bad about it. ;)

In case I don't get on the computer in the morning... I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas. Enjoy your time with your families.

Too funny!!!

I was actually doing very well in the kitchen until dh decided he was going to help me... :( Everything he touched went to heck... he even broke my microwave cleaning it, although he said it wasn't anything he did. ;) yeah. LOL Last week he cleaned our coffee pot and broke that too. :( One good thing is that dd/SIL have an almost new microwave oven they were trying to get rid of... so at least we won't have to go out and buy a new one. I told dh not to bother cleaning anything anymore, I'd do it.
