sounds fun Renee!

we are going out with some of our dinner group. i am a little ticked though. the restaurant is now showing a 'special' menu. we thought we could order off the regular menu, now i am not sure we will be able to. the price of the fixed menu i think is rather high.

We decided on a menu of sushi, shrimp, fresh sliced fruit and sparkling cider. We will kill all that loveliness with warm chocolate chip cookies and ice cream. LOL Oh! And the best part, I will be snug in a bug in a rug in bed by 10pm. ROFL

No real plans at my house although we have traditional menu of finger type foods so that will most likely happen on a smaller scale depending on who is here. My ds will be in Canada with friends - Windsor I believe. My oldest dd will be with her bf so that leaves the youngest dd...unless she gets a better offer  DH & I are pretty much homebodies.

We are going to a friends home. They have a big shindig every year, they turn their foyer into a dance floor, have a dj and have it catered. It is soo much fun!

No plans for New Year's Eve (we're in bed early every year, lol) but mil always hosts a big party New Year's Day so we'll be over there for that.

We go to a friend's house. 3 families get together (kids and adults) for dinner, and games, etc. It's a lot of fun...we've been doing this since our kids were all little...so maybe the past 10 years?? We used to take turns hosting it...but this certain set of friends have the perfect house for entertaining this sort of gathering (kids have their own area to hang out in the basement game room, adults get the kitchen/livingroom). It's always a blast.

8o That must be one heck of a big foyer to turn it into a dance floor. Sounds like a lot of fun.....

We "might" do something with our friends that we usually go out to eat with on Sunday's... but I'm not too sure yet. We usually like to stay home (where it's safe) and celebrate by ourselves... Most times were already in bed by 12:00.

Yep, it's a really big foyer!! She has the most incredible kitchen too. In the basement they have a pool table, ping pong, several card tables for euchre and last year they had dance mats set up for the kids. I'm going to offer to bring GH World Tour. They have an upper level loft with dolls and things for the girls. She did a big craft table with crafts one year, but what a mess that was!
