As I said before, I won't come in and make a bunch of changes, but I thought you guys might like the calendar events up at the top. I set up a blog for Idea Box to highlight some special days and holidays and link back to crafts, recipes and activities that related to that event. I will post those in the calendar and they will show in the events. Hope you guys don't mind, and I hope you find it useful in case any of you are teachers, daycare providers, etc. :)

All great idea's. I'm really looking forward to all the changes you're making. :)

I can't stand all those nonposter's names cluttering up our calendar either. It would be different if they were posting, but some of them have been there for, I'll bet years... without a post.
I thought it seemed crowed too..
Any way it (the event) could be posted once, somewhere up at the top by the month... and leave it at that?

I don't think the calendar had the ability to show the month long event only once at the top. Do you guys use the calendar a lot?
As for the birthdays, I've adjusted the admin settings so that the birthdays on the forum homepage will only show active members, but I don't think there's anything I can do about the inactive members on the calendar itself.

BTW I'm not sure if I was very clear in what my intentions were here. If you look at the forum home page (http://www.theideabox.com/forums/) you will see the calendar events at the top of the page, that's what I was talking about. I wasn't suggesting that you click on the calendar link. Just thought I better clarify that!
