I don't understand what's going on in the PM area now. I see "your notifications" and there's all sorts of stuff up there! LOL

I've got a friend notification... that sounds a lot like Facebook or Myspace - what does that do here? I mean, we all talk to one another already, right? I just saw it a minute ago, so maybe it's been explained somewhere already and I haven't seen it.

looks like someone wants to be added to your friend list, which I haven't a clue what its used for....

i have no clue, but i like your font!

i don't get the friends list either. you can not see someone's posts if they aren't your friend? you don't receive PM's from them?

Yeah, that's what confused me. What is it really used for? I'm glad I'm not the only one lost. LOL

And what does the "Tags" box at the bottom of the posting boxes mean? Does that mean you've been tagged in a photo somewhere? Facebook does that. Are we the new Facebook?! LOL!!

To answer these questions the notifications box does show you many different areas of your user cp. New friend requests, private messages, visitor messages, etc.

Someone does not have to be on your friend list in order to send you a PM, you can still get PMs from anyone.

Yes, it's similar to Facebook or Myspace. Why here? it's part of the upgrade and was oe of the most popular requests for the new version of this software from many license holders. So they added it. You can use it or not, doesn't matter ;)

the friends list is handy on busy websites because you can group all your friends in your user CP and see them all in one area, send messages, etc.

There are also visitor messages, which are basically only viewable when you click on someone's name and view their profile, kind of like writing on someone's wall in facebook. it's a place to leave comments for each member within their profile and everyone can see it.
