 If you do, how do you have your set up? :madmop::vacc:

I have tried them in different ways, but now we just have assigned chores for each child. That seems to work best for us. I've implemented a "no reminder" rule since i got tired of them not doing their chores on their own. The only thing I will give a reminder for is my youngest to take the recycling can to the curb because that's only once every two weeks. The way I have it set up is my oldest empties the dishwasher before he leaves for school, my DD takes care of all the garbages cans in the house and also takes the outside can to the curb each week, my third loads the dishwasher after dinner and my youngest takes care of changing the recycling can when it's full and taking it to the curb when needed.

Each week they are to remember to do their chores. I got tired of nagging at them, so now if they don't do them and I end up doing them for them they have harder chores to do on Saturday (or Friday afternoon if they want to go somewhere Friday night). Kristen didn't do her chores most of the week last week and I didn't say a thing. Much to her surprise she had to sweep and mop the kitchen and both bathrooms as well as clean the baseboards in the bathroom. Bet she won't forget again LOL

Oh, and we don't associate allowance with chores. I don't get paid to make dinner, do laundry and clean up, so they don't either. I've taught them that everyone does chores so that we have a nice house to live in and because it's part of their responsibility as a family member. :)

No chore charts at this house for dd's kids. I never had one when my kids were young either. My dil doesn't have one for her boys either.
