I thought that if you put foil on your drip pans (on an electic stove) it was a fire hazzard. Is that true or not?

Hi Jen. Dh says it is not a fire hazard. But, if you are worried about putting foil in, you can buy disposable foil liners fairly cheap at dollar stores. I use them and it sure makes clean up alot easier!

I use the porcelain (sp) drip pans. More expensive but they clean easily. Once I tried them I wouldn't consider going back and that was 5 houses ago.

I just got the porcelin (sp?) drip pans, and just love them!
I don't think the foil is a fire hazard. if it were would we be able to put it in the oven? just a thought....

I don't think that it is a fire hazard either. If it were, my mom's house would have already burnt down. That is all she uses. I use the cheap foil liners that Darlene was talking about though. It is only because I can't figure out how to wrap the foil around the drip pans and make it stay. LOL!!!

foil here too. I think the only thing is you wouldn't want the foil to be touching the heating elements... I think...
