goody bags

this is our first big birthday party for dd, and I got stuff for goodie bags, not much but what I consider enough, anyway my question is when to you hand these favors out? after the cake, before the party.....I am so confussed......thanks in advance....

Hi Renee. I always give them out as the guests are on their way out after the party. Get your dd to say thank you for coming to my party as she gives each guest a bag.

oh thank you Darlene....a theme well sorta, I let dd pick out the cake...of course its a Barie Carvel ice cream thing, that her daddy ordered....LOL...kinda a shame since I have the icing and the decorations for a cute Barbie cake, but she really wanted this one she saw with daddy....there is always next year.....and she picked out twinkle twinkle little star plates at the dollar store.....we have pink lemonade, a pink unicorn for a pinata...and pale green napkins...sounds horrible when I type it, but it all blends together, with the party cups....multicolored pastels....LOL......no real theme, oh and a blow up pool with silly little palm trees so the kids can keep cool, its supposed to be warm tommorrow....finally....keep those fingers crossed....

I'd hand them out at the very end of the party as they're walking out of the door too... that way they won't loose or break half of the stuff before leaving the party. LOL Tell your dd HAPPY BIRTHDAY... and I hope she has a great day!

Yes, hand them out at the end so your dd can thank each guest for coming. Another reason for not giving them out ahead of time is they get their stuff mixed up with everyone else's. How are you handeling the pinata?

I've got one more child's birthday next weekend then I'm done until January! The goody bags are included with the package I bought at the ice skating rink. I guess I should ask them what they look like.

LOL about it finally getting warm enough to swim where you live! It's so hot here our air conditioners cannot keep up!

Just to mention something cool a friend of mine did.... She took a picture of each child together with the birthday child with one of those "i-zone" cameras. Make up some cute cards on your computer that say "thanks for coming to my party." Place the sticker picture on the thank you card and the guest has a picture of them with the birthday boy/girl to keep. She put them in the goody bag as everyone left.
