View Full Version : do you ever feel like a crazy person?
dh is helping his sister again tonight, which is fine because I actually suggested it, since she is holding the birthday party for our dd tommorrow, she could use some help finishing up her kitchen......but I took the kids to MacDonalds, and I feel like I am crazy...they hardly ate anything, well, ds ate everything, but dd doesn't eat.....so I didn't get happy meals, just food.....they are pickering, I am tired....and wondering what I was thinking to tell dh to go and help his sister........any how, I am still not smoking, and thats good...right.....but I am feeling like a crazy person...and actually counting the hours till bedtime....mean mom huh.....anyway thanks for letting me vent....I feel really bad that I feel that way.....

There are days when I want to run away Renee! Our kids are going over to gramma's for the night tonight.....the first time dh and I will have an evening to ourselves for over 2 weeks! We are headed out with friends for supper.
Wish you could come with us!
I vote for sending the kids to be early and either a hot bubbly bath or a good movie for yourself!
Hope the morning looks brighter!
:)
thanks for letting me know I am normal...was feeling really bad about feeling this way......
hope you and dh have a great night....:* hopefully I will get one soon....dh promises...the bath sounds great and I might even give myself a manicure and pedicure....who knows....early bed for both of them...
I feel like I'm crazy once a month. You're perfectly normal. Once the effects of smoking are completely out of your system you'll feel even better. Keep up the fight.

Hang in there!! We all have those days I think. My kids have constantly been bickering. The oldest boy and oldest girl seem to be caught in a vicious cycle where they see who can make the other more mad.
Hope things look better tomorrow!!

Funny, I thought I was the only one who felt crazy sometimes. I mean really crazy, lol. I have found that if I really keep my kids busy during the day that they go to bed early and sleep well. I get that quiet time in the evening and get some good sleep myself.
Everyone should fine this amusing...my dh and I have NEVER had a whole night to ourselves in the past four and a half years. My dd has spent the night only a few times with Grandmama and that was only after ds was born. Well, what a minute, I should re-phrase that! Dh has been on numerous trips(usually business or fishing) where he has had a nice break...I on the other hand have been "with child" since dd was born. I think I would faint and fall over if I had a night alone. Don't get me wrong though, I love me kids more than life itself. That is probably why I don't look for ways to get a break ( not to say that I don't deserve one though). Okay, aren't you glad you asked!!!

LOL Whenever I call my mom to complain about my dks bickering she laughs at me!!! "Why can't they just love each other" I say! More laughter......Mom says, "I used to say the same thing about you and your brothers!"
I also remember my mother counting to ten when she was about to blow up....1,2,3,4,5. Then we would dance around mocking her 1, 2, 3.....she would crack up laughing.
Crazy days, ah yes, and our darling children will get them from their children one day. (and we can sit back and laugh ;) )

I feel crazy almost everyday:p I thought that was the way grown ups were supposed to feel. LOL!!!!
I don't fell like a crazy person, I KNOW I'M A CRAZY PERSON!!! :goofy:
The only real break I get from my dks is when they are at school. Since ds didn't go back to school after our move it's been a while. Just about the only time dh and I go out or spend time alone is when we are visiting relatives (usually every 2 years). A few times we went out in NC but not very often. Maybe 4 times total.
Right now I just wish he didn't work so much so that we'd actually see him awake for more than 10-15 minutes at a time! He's been working 14-15 hour days! Yesterday he rented a movie and for once was actaully able to watch the whole thing before he had to go to his second job. He does have today off (he got off at 5 this morning) so when he wakes up we'll have the rest of the day for family time! :D
YES! And Like Jen, I know I'm crazy....at least more times than not! LOL I thought the older they got the easier...nope! Whole new set of problems and stresses. You just have to deal with it the best you can and hope for a sane day tomorrow - if you're lucky!
Hey, think of it this way....we must not be too crazy or we wouldn't be asking the question! 8o LOL

Crazy person???? :goofy::silly: I think I feel that way more and more lately. Well, maybe not crazy ~ just stressed. Too much to handle these days.
As much as we love our kids and families we all need a break once in a while. Send the kids off to bed a bit early. Then sit back and relax.
