Just needed to be able to talk to someone as I am going nuts. Our son who is six is having a really awful attitude He is having tantrums and just down right awful.. I am thinking it may be his adderall he is on for his A.d.d. I was wondering if anyone has a child on this medication or knows someone who does. I am really hoping it is the medicine as I am on wits end and can't stand seeing his personality change so much. Thanks for letting me talk to you guys I just need to talk to other people besides my husband as we are going nuts. Please give me any ideas or input you may have.:\

maybe I should go get myself a :snickers:

Angie, my son is five and has really made a huge shift in his behavior and attitudes. A friend of mine pointed out that around this age is when boys have their first testosterone surge. We were thinking that perhaps this is part of the reason for the changes. Like when we have PMS and are feeling so uncomfortable in our bodies and kind of grouchy, maybe it affects them. Just a thought. It is really hard, though, I feel for ya!

I don't have a son that age, but my 5 1/2 dd is the same way. If I move too quickly in the morning, than she has a major meltdown, especially when she was in school. She doesn't transition well first thing in the morning. The other times she feels like she is not being "heard" and she gets extremely frustrated and acts out. Other times is because she is just bored and will pick a fight out of boredom or being tired. You are not alone!! We should all have a club for this age group! LOL
