Winter Family Time

During the winter months when you can't visit the park or go fishing or camping, what do you do to spend time with your family? Do you enjoy outdoor activities or do you spend your time indoors playing games and watching movies?

We are lucky, I guess, that it doesn't get super cold most of the time here so the kids can get out to play ...even if it's just for a little while. My dh plays with them outside more than I do.

We play board games once in a while. We love playing our Wii together.

I watch a lot more movies with our kids than my dh does but we have fun doing it. ;)

I even color with crayons and markers with my dd (and sometimes my ds still does it!).

We used to do a lot of crafts but I just haven't had the time to sit down and do that for a while.

Wiho says you can't go camping in the winter??

Get the sleeping bags out, the chairs, the cooler to pack your food in, etc.
Don't forget the hot chocalate & marshallows!
Now find a room with no tv in your home, roll out the sleeping bags, & camp in your own house with laterns, flashlights.
The only rule is no tv, or computor. & . no phones...
fun time inside...

Rent some kiddie movies, pop that popcorn, roll out the sleeping bags on the floor, dim the lights, pop in the movie, & enjoy...

Play a family game of Monoply that you continue over the weekend ;say for a few hours am & pm......
Family time can make that winter go fast when you are surrounded by your loved ones!

Family time can make that winter go fast when you are surrounded by your loved ones! This is a great idea! I know that my kids would love to do this. We already spend time watching "kids" movies and eating popcorn. All we need now are the sleeping bags! ;)
