Help!!! I am planning a birthday party for my son who will be four. He wants Monstor Trucks for his theme and I have no idea how to do this and haven't been able to find any ideas so far. Any ideas are welcome.
Thanks
Very easy party....as children come in, they can begin to "customize" their very own Monster truck....(A.K.A.....a cardboard box. before the party, staple four paper plates to the box.
let the children give each truck a name...have races, maybe even a simple "track" set-up ...prizes for all who complete the race.
Have fun!

DS went to a party where the theme was construction trucks. To give out goodie bags they had a large cardboard crane made. An adult was behind a curtain with the bags. Each child put on a constuction helmet and orange vest one at a time. They'd go up to into the *crane* make the crane arm (a fishin pole) swing up so the clip at the end of the line would fall behind the curtain. Adult attachs their bag and child swings it back. They had an audio tape making it sound as if construction was going on. You could stretch the monster truck theme to include a wrecker (hauls the *monster trucks* when they break down). Maybe instead of a crane and a curtain you could use two boxes. One for the wrecker and the other for the monster truck being hauled.
For games prizes they gave out laminated pictures of construction equipment (or monster trucks) with magnets on the back.
When the children arrived crayons and photocopied coloring book pictures of trucks were laid out to color while awaiting other kids. They also had video tape playing with construction equipment. You could play one with monster trucks.

MM! I just remembered seeing in a Betty Crocker party book, a birthday cake made from a rectangle and square on top of each other like a truck body and 4 plain donuts for the tires. You could make the table cloth from on of those play sheets like from the $1 store. Set the table with matchbox cars for name tags , later to be used for favors. ßß~!

Have the bakery of a grocery store make a cake with green icing for grass and brown for a dirt road. You can even make your own cake...example: Sprinkle brown cookie crumbs (oreos, etc) as dirt. Color coconut green to use as grass, and toothpicks to make a 'picket fence'. You can even get a match box car from the $1 store and place it on your 'dirt' road on the cake. Hope this helps!

Last year for my son's 3rd birthday, we had a construction theme, and had this great cake made. It had a black top road going half-way across it, and the had little matchbox trucks and other contruction vehicles placed on the road where it was under repair. Brown sugar was placed in a pile on the side of the road to look like sand and the dozers had some placed in their buckets. But it was really neat to have the actual cars on the cake - it looked great. My son hated to see me take them off so we could serve it (his desire to eat the cake overcame his enjoyment of looking at it!). But you could modify this idea to fit your theme and have a race track around the top of the cake and place the cars on the track.
And for decorations (we were outside) we placed signs all over the yard. I just printed out stop signs, yield signs, etc... - cut them out (backed them on cardboard to make them more durable) and placed them all over the yard!
Good luck to ya. My sons 4th is at the end of the month and he still hasn't decided what theme he wants (nothing like waiting till the last minute, eh?) , so I am trying to find something easy, but creative! have fun!!
