My exciting lunch

I went to school to have lunch w/Zach today. He wanted me to go watch him play football at recess. I am standing outside freezing (I almost didn't go out) when I all of sudden he and another boy run into each other. I realize he is still on the ground. When I get over to him his mouth is all bloody and he is crying. Needless to say I got to escort him to the nurse's office. The nurse thought he would be OK no loose teeth thank goodness but he has an incredibly huge fat lip. You don't know how hard I had to work not to cry for him!! The joys of motherhood!!!

Bless his heart! Things do get interesting when we have lunch with the kids, don't they? It seemed like everytime I went to have lunch with my kids it was "Eat on the playground day".

What a bummer to hear he got hurt. :( At least you could be there to comfort him - there's nothing better than mom when you're hurt or sad.

I am glad that you were there for him. I try to eat lunch with my dd often. I hope his lip gets better soon.
