Don't want to start out with negatives, but...

No quick button for new posts (or am I overlooking it)? And, I've never been a fan of these light colors. Very hard on the eyes (especially these older ones).

I'm not sure what you mean by a quick button for new posts, are you referring to the quick reply button? With this new version, for some reason they changed the reply functions. here's the run down (though a lot of people have expressed their dismay with the new format for replying, so maybe they'll incorporate a fix for it):

quick reply: just click either reply, reply with quote, or the reply to thread button and you will be taken to the quick reply box

reply with smiley box: there are a couple of ways to get to the enhanced editor box that has the smilies. You can:

1) double click any of the reply options
2) click a reply option, once the quick reply box appears, click the same reply option again
3) click reply, then once in the quick reply box, click the "Go Advanced" button

As for the light colors, we want the message boards to match with the website itself, and the website's colors are purple and blue. Is it the white text on the purple background that you find difficult to read? I'm happy to make adjustments while still staying within the theme of the site. :)
