Let me know how Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is! I would love to see it -- are you going to see it onscreen or onstage?

...and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. IT WAS AMAZING!! You MUST go see it! Great music and humor.
This is the 2nd time for dh and I to see it, and the first for dd - it brought me to tears watching her face while she watched it. It was magical to her. She'd seen the movie a dozen times, but to see it performed on stage, she was mesmerized. She even broke out singing during one of the songs!
The company was the School for the Performing Arts in Richmond and the actors/actresses ranged from like, 6 years old to seniors in high school. We were so impressed with them all.
Each time I see a play, I tell myself we must do that more often - now I'm convinced seeing dd's face and how much she loves music, we WILL see more plays together.
Anyway - that's been the high point of my weekend so far - today, she locked us out of the house while we were eating luch outside - ugh! At least it wasn't raining, or sweltering hot. We only had to wait about 2 hours before dh came back home....got lots of weeds pulled!!! lol

Have you seen the movie with Donny Osmond? He's really quite wonderful, and it's a cool production too!

That sounds so great, my dks would've loved it too. We try to take them to as many plays/stage shows as we can, and they always get something out of each one, and we, like you, love to watch them watching!:)

We have seen the movie w/ Donny Osmond - the costmes are WAY FUNKY in it --- wooooo..... :)

Rachel has watched it so many times that before the play began, they were playing a montage (sp?) of songs from the show and she could tell us from what scene the music was from! Blew my mind!!!

We bought the soundtrack today and are having fun learning all the words.

She's having trouble understanding why the play didn't look like the movie and why Joseph and the others didn't look like the people in the movie..... :)

We are only about 2 hours from Washington DC and go to the Kennedy Center occasionally - and this year, they are putting on a wide variety of plays for children - can't wait to go!! :)

dh, dd, and I saw it live in Toronto, when Donny Osmond was performing. I agree, it was amazing. If it comes back again I would love to go again.
dd and I went to Beauty and the Beast on stage in May, it was pretty good too.
