Any cool ideas of what kind of crafts my 5 year old can make out of a spegetti jar? I have found a ton of things to make with paper plates, used powdered formula containers, etc... but I can't seem to find anything for a spegetti jar. Any ideas???

You could have her layer dry ingredients from a recipe (like cookies, brownies, soup, etc. Use shortening instead of butter or margerine because it will keep) Then have her decorate the lid. Use lace, paint, button, or you have her make a cover with fimo clay and bake with clay on lid according to fimo clay instructions. I could try to find the recipes I had on ingredient jars. This makes a great gift for fathers, grandparents, etc. Or you could forgo the recipe and just decorate the lid. She can use it to store her "treasures."

I read somewhere once (probably Family Fun Magazine) about painting on glass jars/bottles by mixing acrylic paint with glue (that way it will stick and won't rub off). Painting the jars and lids, then filling them with little things like candy, hair bows, crayons, etc. would make a nice gift, I think.

You can make a jar oil lamp or a candle holder.

Hello,
I have used empty jars to make snow globes.
I have also used them to make sand art brownies, these are quite easy and there is a web site tht tells you how to do this.
