View Full Version : Welcome letter
Hi! I'd like to know if you have Welcome Letters that you might want to share with me as I'm planning to send out a letter to parents before the school year starts. I'll appreciate it if you can share the letters in its entirety.
Thank you in advance.

HI:D I work at Headstart and am planning on sending out a newsletter to my families this year. My partners and I are going to add a little note introducing ourselves. I can add important upcoming dates and some helpful info about the classroom. I am adding the address of the school and phone number, names of people they may come in contact with in the classroom (ie: the speech therapist, supervisors, office staff, director, etc.), plus I am adding our class time and inviting them to contribute to the future newsletters. We are considering passing them out at conference or at the first parent meeting. With Windows 98 there is a template in the Task Wizard that is ready for you to add your own info.:) Hope this helps.:frog:
The welcome letter is a great idea. Just make sure send it BEFORE school starts. My son just recieved his from his 3rd grade tacher and we bought all things that she does not want her students to use, (3 ring binder, large backpack)
The newsletter idea is good. I plan to use it myself but I', planning to send it once a month. I am playing around with the idea of a Parent's Board and have information on that will keep up communication on a weekly basis.
