We are replacing our cooktop. The one we have is a pain to clean. What do you like or dislike about the one you have?

Our house came with a ceramic top with raised burners..can't wait to pull that thing out!!! LOL It is hard to clean, I don't like how it cooks at all, and you have to be very careful about putting stuff on top of it. If I ever get to change I will either go with a flat cooktop or go to gas with the pop off cookers.

When we first moved in to our house we had an electric cooktop. I didn't think too much about it but when it burnt out and we had to buy a new one we bought a flat top... and I absolutely LOVED it. When that one broke for some reason dh went out and bought me another electric one and I absolutely HATE it so much!!! The next one will definitely be another flat top... they are EXTREMELY easy to keep clean.

Is your flat top NOT electric? I don't think I have ever seen a flat gas one...that would be great!!!

We have a flat top electric stove. Love it! It's easy to keep clean, and looks nice in the kitchen. I had a gas stove before we moved here...so getting used to electric was something I had to do.

I am with AnnW. I would love a glass flat top!! We had a ceramic top and I loved it!! We went cheap with this house and I so wish I had the ceramic top back.

LOL.. yeah, it's electric but it's a flat top... LOL Didn't really think of it as electric but yeah, I guess it was. :)

LOL...guess I am the only one with the old fashioned gas/converted to Propane oven with ugly black gas burners....LOL...it works....

We have gas and I love it!! I was so excited when we first looked at this house and saw that they had gas here, too! :)

The one at the site you posted, Jeff, looks awesome!

I prefer gas stoves.

Mine stinks--it came with the house and it's a beautiful harvest gold, electric stove with a lovely 70's microwave attached above it with with a rolling counter timer. LOL! (Guess it could be worse and be avocado green, right? LOL!)

Ten years ago, I cleaned for a lady in England who had a flat top electric stove and it was a royal PIA. Maybe they've changed since then, but I had to use this special "cleaner" that did NOT clean it. Swore I'd cook in my fireplace before ever getting one of those! LOL!
