Or a psychic, tarot card reader, etc.?
If so, what did you think?
If not, would you ever go?
Why or why not?

I don't believe in all this phychic business. That being said....

In 1987 I was in Hawaii with my parents and my dad and I went out for a walk. We happened upon a fortune teller and stopped to see what it was all about. She was totally confused, first putting my dad and I together romantically. Which I guess makes sence since we were a couple together in Hawaii? After we told her that I was his daughter she said I would be married by 25, which was wrong. She just didn't get anything right? It was entertaining which is what it is all about anyway.

I am a little skeptical but I do believe that some people have the gift of prophescy or and "inner eye". I think John Edward is amazing!!! I went to a psychic once and she said some things about my bil that knocked the socks off of dh!

Nope, I've never been to any of them, but I am fascinated by a few psychics (John Edward and Sylvia Browne). I think some are complete phoneys and I think others really have a gift. If I were to ever go to one I would go to someone I believed in and not waste my time with someone who didn't really have a clue. The ads for "Miss Cleo" drive me crazy!!!

There are times that I would have loved to get sone insight on my life. I would also like to "hear" from loved ones who have died.

Have never done it myself, but have always been curious. But, being a scardy-cat, I was always worried to hear bad news.

I've been to several.
My mom's into that "loop", so most of them have been her friends. I think it's all in who you go to. Some are great, some are just clueless and others are scammers.

I haven't been to one either. I think you have to do as entertainment and not use them to make your life decisions.

I think most of them are scammers but I do think some are for real. I'd love to see one of them. Is it John Edward that was on TV? (Maury Povich maybe?). If so he had a family on there. They had gone to see him after their son's death. The dad was completely skeptical. The man said their son had a favorite picture of himself and described it. They both were skeptical then since they didn't have such a picture. Turns out the boy had died while mountian climbing. His friends brought back his camera and in the camera undeveloped was the picture described! It was taken the morning he died.

I think like most of you...that very few are legit.

When I was around 20, my mom, sister, mom's friend and her daughters would go to psychics on friday nights for fun and we'd go to Denny's afterwards and laugh about what they said. Some were pretty accurate with a few of us, but none of them EVER got anywhere close with me (they got the biggest laugh when I shared my predictions)!

I went to a psychic 5 years ago...my hairdresser recommended the woman, saying she was so accurate, it was scary! We went to her house and my sister waited in the livingroom with my ds (who was a baby at the time). NOTHING she said rang a bell or made sense. Later, I played the audio tape of the reading for my sister and she started to cry--it was all about HER! LOL! I was like, "Keep your darned aura to yourself next time I'm having a reading!" ;)

Only one person I know is consistently accurate and that's my mother's cousin. She told me some off the wall things years ago and I was like, "You're nuts!" and forgot all about it. Then years later, I went on vacation and met dh and married him, my sister said, "Interesting...just like Mary Margaret predicted!" and IT WAS! *cue the twilight zone music* ROFL!

So would I!

It really is amazing when they are consistently accurate! Mary Margaret can see bad things and death though, too, and her dh doesn't like her doing it anymore...says it upsets her too much. She won't tell people about death or anything horrible. She'll warn people to be careful or whatever, but that's it. She doesn't do it as much as she used to, but she'll sneak off and do a few readings at family gatherings!

I've heard about John Edward...would love to see him. I've seen Sylvia Browne and she's extremely interesting.

John Edward is on the sci fi channel.

The lady I went to asked me if I wanted to talk to anyone. I said my brother in law. She didn't know that he died before we ever met and that he was killed in a car accident..he had been visiting my dh from college and decided to go ahead and go back to school at midnight..dh told him it was stupid that it was too late to go, he did and he feel asleep behind the wheel and died instantly when his car crashed into an embankment. The first thing she says that he said was "nice to meet you!" then "tell dh that it happened in a blink of an eye and not to feel badly about our last conversation".

She told me some other stuff that was pretty impressive but this is what I remember the most.

John Edward IS amazing. I watch him a lot on the Sci-Fi channel. I have an opportunity to go see him and Sylvia Brown both at a day long seminar in Anaheim, but at $135 a ticket, I think it's a tad steep. I think I'll just keep watching him (basically) for free on T.V.

I believe there are people that truly have the ability, but on the other hand I also believe there are others that are completely fakes. Take Miss Cleo for instance (anyone see her commercials on tv?) ....... her phoney baloney Jamaican accent is a total hoot! I think there are more fakes than there are ones that are for real, but to discount the ones that truly have the ability on the basis of some fakes seems to be unfair. But that is just my opinion.

Hmmmm...that is a bit steep, but I think it would be neat.

I think many events are very expensive nowadays, though. I used to go to concerts for $7.50! My friend just spent $500 on two tickets to see N Sync (or the Backstreet Boys? Can't remember which!)! Couldn't believe that price!!!

I can remember 7.50 too and I wouldn't spend that -- Let alone 500!!!

I agree!!

I would love to go see John Edward or Sylvia!! Those prices do seem steep, but so much cheaper than an actual one on one reading from one of them. I would love to go just for the experience - I find them so fascinating!

I have never been, but I have been curious. I am like Frankie though, I am too chicken.
