If there are any cross-stitchers out there, I would like to ask them for some help in locating some items. I am looking for regular size bath towels and hand towels that have a cross stitch (aida) insert in them. All I can find are fingertip towels, kitchen towels, or hooded baby towels. Anybody have a source for what I am looking for? Thanks for any help you can give me on this. I want to get started on some Christmas presents.

Have you tried Herrschners? I think they have a web site. I did find regular size had towels at Joanne's fabric store. I have not seen bath towels before. Good luck!

I love to cross stitch and right now I am working on the biggest one I have ever done. So far it's been 5 months and I'm only about 1/2 way done!

I've never done cross-stiching myself, but would like to give it a try sometime. I remember seeing towels in some of the craft shops like 'Michael's' but not recently.
Would it work if you just bought the aida cloth and normal towels, and then after you finish your cross stich pattern, applicate, the piece of aida cloth across where you want the pattern or picture to be? ?( ?(
You could put it on with fusible webbing and then do someting fancy to comer the edges.

Thanks for the ideas/suggestions. I will check out Herrschners. There are also some pre-made aida-cloth shapes that can be appliqued to towels ... so, if i cannnot find what I want my options are to applique aida cloth to a towel, or try to find those shapes. I am hoping that Garden Ridge will have something.

To JAK and Ryleigh -- I love to cross stitch, also ... but I find my biggest challenge is finishing an item. I have quite a few things started -- some of them from 5 years ago. Between now and Christmas I am only going to let myself start small things -- ornaments, baby bibs, etc.
