We have a holiday today for a teacher work day. I slept in till 7:30. I have just finished most of the tax information that had to be done. DD is baking sugar cookies and I want to hit the stores. It surprises me that it is all ready 1:00. The day is going quicker than I want. What are you up to today???

Hi Kacee! I have the day "off" too. Although it just means I am not earning any money today! LOL I was at ds class this am for reading time...then ran errands...now home to do some housework. Dh is off the to the dr. right away to see what is to be done about the lump on his neck. I actually have supper planned ahead, so may even take a hot bath this afternoon. It is absolutely freezing here and a snow storm is supposed to blow in this evening. Oh, when will winter ever end???
Maybe I should head over for cookies and tea at your place????
:)

Hello there. Went and helped dd's class work our school post office this am which was quite hysterical! LOL Had a bit of a paint crisis yesterday...we are painting our front door & molding a deep navy/midnight blue..well I came home yesterday and it was DAYGLO blue!!! LOL (the neighbors were a little panicked too!) well, got a new color up and it looks good. So now I am home stuck with an open door drying to dry. They will put up the matching shutters tomorrow. It's dreary and kind of cool and I really want to take a nap!

Darlene,
You are welcome to come for cookies!! I am afraid that it has turned into a wet and depressing day. I am stuck here with all these cookies. DD and I made it to the store and it was raining. We got two things on the list, but had no desire to stay longer. (dd did look at the toys). I am now home with an over the door hanging baskets. I hope to put the video's in there and clean out more of the cabinets. No to just get motivated and keep away from the cookies!!

AnnW - sorry about the wrong color. Good thing it was fixable. Is it as raining and wet in Houston as it is here??

Not much is new here. Dh is coaching tonight, so it's just me and the boys. I think we'll make cookies tonight. We are supposed to be getting a bad storm this wknd (6-12 inches of snow mixed with freezing rain). Last time there was a prediction like that it missed us, so we'll see. Our dryer has been acting up all week. We got it fixed only to find out there was something wrong with the new part and they can't fix it until Monday. I said I didn't care as long as I could get some laundry done. Well, this afternoon it quit heating again! :( I am so far behind on laundry and don't have the option of hanging clothes outside since I am in MN!! I think I will call the neighbor to take some clothes to her house this wknd. Never thought I would miss my dryer so much! LOL!

Sounds like some of you had fun days today! :) Have a good weekend everyone!

It keeps trying to rain, spits for a little, but nothing but gray skies so far.
Where are you again? Near Waco?
