I work in a church preschool and just found out that the director of the preschool got a 4,000 raise for this year. I knew she was getting 2,000 and thought that was alot! I am having a very hard time with it. I think she deserved more pay but the rest of the staff got .25-.75 \hr. raise and no raises the first year. She is the teacher director and I am the only other teacher. I jsut finished my CDA and have an A.A. degree and a MOntessori certificate and also 14 years of experience in early childhood. I work very hard and had a couple of children last year in my classroom with disabilities. One of those children stayed with me for this year and I now have another child with problems. Both are older and could be in the other class but are not. It was a very stressful year last year nad now I am having to start the year off knowing she is getting paid sooooo much more than the rest of us!!!Any sugestions of how to deal with this without it driving me crazy.
I feel so taken advantage of. (p.s. I am the pastors wife so he can't really go to bat for me...put us in a yucky situation)
