I started at 230 and now weigh 210 which makes a total loss of...
20 Pounds!
I saw some people at my bil birthday party that I had not seen for awhile and it was nice to get the compliments! My weight really fluctuated this week. I went from as high as 214 to as low as 210... it really changed day by day.
I turned down lots of sweets this weekend though. I really don't like cake much, so it wasn't hard to turn that down. But I really looove ice cream and had to give that up. We also had a family reunion on my side of the family yesterday, so I really had to stick to my guns.
I didn't exercise much, so I will definitely do more of that this week and make it a focal point.
Only 10 pounds to 200.... here I come!
Great Job!!!! You are doing a great job at delaying gratification and it is really paying off. Keep up the great work. Man you are an inspiration.
I think i need to find a new word other than great LOL.

:happydnc:Way to go! Keep up the good work!:happydnc:
Congrats to you too Brichard. I admire both you and Jeff. Do think posting for all of us to see has been a help? When I tell others, it's like I set myself up to fail. I hope I haven't jinxed myself by reporting my lose here. I kept it off over the summer which was a major hurdle for me. Anyway, keep up the good work.

Kat- I really think it has been a help to post things here for me. I really focus on making my Monday weight target. I have positvie reinforcement as I enjoy the compliments of doing well, but I also have the negative enforcement of not wanting to look bad! ;) When I posted my original thread I said I was going to lose weight... not try. I've failed on more weight loss tries then I've succeeded, but I started this out with the right attitude. Resolve is such a powerful tool.
I was really kind of sulking as I was afraid I wasn't going to lose any weight this time. I was telling dw and she reminded me that I will hit those plateaus like I did before. And... I know she is right. Congratulations on your weight loss. I think the toughest part will be deciding what to do after the weight loss goal is met.
I have no problem with the fact that I've made a lifestyle change, but there is a difference in eating to lose and eating to maintain. I hated the Atkin's diet for me personally, but I did like the fact that they had a weight loss and a maintenance diet. I guess I'll just have to experiment a little and make sure I keep to some core goals like no snacking after dinner and drinking lots of water.
Karla B, I believe this is my fifth week. I'm very pleased with the results, but I am so close to 200! It will drive me crazy until I get under that benchmark. That will be a day for celebration for me!

I got my Wieght Watchers key chain on Saturday! I've now lost 10% of my weight since I joined 12 weeks ago. I less than a pound but I was sick last week and I usually gain weight when I sick so I'm OK with that. I'm taking it slowly.
