LET IT SNOW!!

Good Morning!! It is beautiful and snowy here. I have to laugh cuz the Denver stations are going on that they mispredicted and didn't get the five inches of snow they were expecting. They forget about us out here on the Northeastern plains-we are having a nice snowstorm. The boys are thrilled. Between working with Dad on their pinewood derby cars they will have time to play in the snow. Looks like it will be a fun day around here. Guess I better go get the puppy out of the dog run so she can frolic around in the snow too.

Morning Beth. Do you have alot of snow on the ground too? Sounds like a nice day around your place.
It snowed a little overnight here....I just wish it would start to melt! LOL
DD woke up this am with a sore stomache, headache and low fever....that makes 2 out of us 5 with it now. Ds is rid of the fever/headache, but still has the stuffy nose and cough.
We will probably spend the day inside....sick kids and oldest dd has to get her project done today, she has 2 friends coming over this afternoon to work on it. This is a different project than the other one I posted about. They have had this assignment for 2 weeks and are just getting started on it now! Group at home projects is my other big beef! Trying to schedule 3 girls to get together at the same time/place has been a nightmare.
Are the boys building the derby cars for fun, or are they going to race them?

About 70 and REALLY windy here. DD had her first soccer game this am. DS and DH are going camping for the last time as Cub Scouts today, DD and I will join them for a little while for the Arrow of Light ceremony (kind of cub scout graduation) and then come back home.
Beth..Pinewood Derby is fun..it's also cute to see which Dads' car wins!!! LOL

I'd take just plain snow anyday over this sheet of ice we've been hit with. The snow starts after lunch!! Yipee!! NOT! :(

Beth, our kids just had their pinewood derby last Sunday. They didn't do too well. Dh helped them. From the looks of the others, I think the dads did most of the work! LOL

Darlene, I hear you on waiting till the last minute to do assignments. My third grader had 5 days to do an assignment, forgot about it, got a late note, and then told us he didn't have time to do it!! GRR! We need to work with him on those kind of assignments to make sure he gets them done. I dread the thought of him in the upper grades!

Ann, we could use the 70's to melt this ice!! That would be so nice!!

It's icy here, too! :( We were told there would be 4-8 inches of snow on the ground when we woke up this morning - we maybe got a little snow and LOTS of ice. Ugh! I would rather just have a big snowstorm and actually have it hit us when predicted. They have been so off with the last few forecasts. Anyway, the ice is melting now, but it is WET and cold. Maybe more snow later tonight??? Ann, I would definitely take some of your nice weather right now - even just a teensy bit of sunlight!!! :)

This is our first year doing cars so Tim is doing the brunt of the work. The boys are doing the sanding and painting. I am sure there will be some really fancy cars. Ours are pretty basic. The guys have had a great time working together so in my book thats all that counts. The snow has stopped here and now its getting WINDY!

We missed the big snowstorm we were suppose to get last night and only got a little bit... but had lots of ice. Now it's almost 40 degrees, the snow is melting and so now everything is nothing but a sloppy mess. Now their saying were going to get between 5 and 7 inches again tonight on top of the 14 inches we still have on the ground from the last snow. Ugh! I'm SO ready for spring!

It snowed very little here yesterday, but it is still very cold. I hope the weather warms up soon. I can't wait to get back to FL.
