They arrived yesterday afternoon!!! :yippee: My dks were especially excited because we haven't seen them in 8 months.

They drove here in a mini van with- the mom, dad, 3 dks (ranging in age from 8-13), 2 dogs (one a boxer and the other a little dog) and a small dog kennel with a rabbit in it! I think they are CRAZY! But they all arrived in one piece.

We are now bunny sitting until they find a house, but I told them NO WAY was a I watching 2 dogs for them! I think at first they thought I was joking about not watching the dogs- but as good a friend as I am, I don't want or need 2 dogs in my house! The rabbit at least can stay caged up!

Jen, are they moving there? Why do they need a house? I am so amazed at their trip and entourage!!! LOL

Yes, Ann they are moving here! I guess I didn't mention that. They got orders here a little while after we moved here. They won't live anywhere near us though. We live on-base where all the houses are 3 bedrooms. Since they need a 4 bedroom, even when they do move on base it will be in a different housing area.

Ok..that makes sense, but I was REALLY impressed with a friend who would DRIVE all the way to Alaska for a visit!!!!!!! LOL

Ann- if they drove that whole way just to visit I really would say they are crazier than I thought! LOL

They have wanted to live in Alaska as long has they have been in the military (15 years) and finally their wish came true. So I'm really excited for them that they finally got here.

Wow! I didn't realize they were moving there either! How exciting for you to have a friend there with you even though you won't live close together! :)

My my my. I'd say if they weren't crazy when they left, they would be when they go there. I think you'd have to sedate me for the duration of that trip unless their kids behave better in a car than my two ever did. Glad they made it ok. I, too, didn't realize they were moving there. That makes it even more exciting having a good friend living close.
