Help I need some help trying to help my 5 1/2 year old to swallow pills he does it one time then the next he can't. He is on adderall for ADD and the doctor wants him to try to swallow the pills if at all possible. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated

Have him stick out his tongue as far as possible. Place the pill as far back on his tongue as you can... and give him his water. I had a child who had a hard time taking pills and this is what the doctor told them to do. It worked! Good luck!!! :)

I was thinking that if that doesn't work, could you crush the pills and maybe dissolve them in water, a soft drink, or juice. You might need to check with your prescriber or druggist before trying this.

Along with Diane's idea I have also heard of crushing them and putting them in a bite of applesauce, ice cream, etc. Good Luck! :)
