Here are the poems I promised! The first is Angie's poem to me. She knew I would be on the computer and left the poem on the screen and the pregancy test stick on my keyboard! It was very cute!
The poem to the grandparent's posed as being a belated poem for Grandparent's day, and we snuck the surprise in the last verse. Here ya' go!
Poem from Angie to me...
Roses are red
Violets are blue
I took this test
And I left it for you.
I wrote you this poem
To tell this the news
Hoping and praying
That you will be amused.
We are having a baby
Or so the test seems to say
I love you sweet Brian
More and more each day.
Congratulations Dad!
Poem from us to Grandparents
Happy Grandparents’ Day!
Sorry that due to our distance,
You are receiving this poem late,
But we wanted to reassure you,
That as grandparents we think you’re Great!
Grandparents are for giving hugs and kisses,
And we think you are dandy,
But remember that you also need,
To give us toys and candy!
There are so many neat things,
That have shown how much you care,
You took Connor to see Blues Clues!
And flew him in the air!
And Andrea is so happy,
To strike a model’s pose,
When she is looking like a Princess,
In her pretty shoes and clothes.
We apologize this wasn’t on time,
But we should be better come next May,
Because there will be five of us to make sure,
You get your poem without delay!
