View Full Version : I'm Home from the Hospital........
Well, I had my surgery, they took half of my thyroid....and I look horrible....LOL....my neck looks like someone slit my throat....the kids were telling me I would make a good frankenstien....LOL....I am sure it will heal up nicely....but for now its ugly and swollen...oh and it hurts....LOL....dh is being a doll, doing all the chores, and letting me rest.....only problem is that my body aches from resting....LOL.....they don't think that there was any cancer in the cyst....they sent out a frozen section during surgery...and it came back neg....they sent the rest out to pathology and we should know for sure by the end of the week....keep your prayers for me that it isn't cancerous....I am hopefull that it isn't....thanks again for keeping me and my family in your thoughts....
So, you had a good weekend vacation???!!! :biggrin:
Glad to know all went well!!! Take it easy and don't try to do to much. Keeping my fingers crossed for the test results.
btw...I keep meaning to ask you..how is dh's business going?

Welcome back Renee... I'm glad to hear that everything went well, even if you DO look like Frankenstein. LOL (kids can be SO funny) I'm sure your neck will heal up nicely... and you will probably hardly see any scaring at all. I'll continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers... and make sure you keep us updated with the results when you get them back.
Diane... :wave:
PS Give that dh of your's an extra big hug for being so wonderful! It's nice when you can count on them being there for you when you need them the most. :)

well, in the wake of this tragedy, we really decided we don't want to leave Central New York....and dh's business has picked up since we came home from our vacation....his boss understands that for the money we can't afford to move to CA now, and that we really don't want to.....dh did put his application in for a few other companies, non related to his Photography skills....and got a few possitive responses.....we are staying here, with or with out his company, but I have a feeling that since work is picking up now, that it will all be ok....and his company really does like him, so I think he was jumping the gun on being so afraid he would be fired they want him to succeed....here, they just really wanted him to go back there.....can't blame them for trying to get their way...
Thanks for asking....

So glad your surgery went well..will keep you in my thoughts and prayers as you await your test results. Take it easy as long as you can! I also think the incision will heal nicely - I bet you will be surprised. :) On the other hand just think of what an easy Halloween costume you could have this year! :newwink:
Glad the surgery went well Renee, and enjoy the special treatment from your husband so you can rest.
My husband can totally relate to you on the frankenstein jokes as he had his saliva gland removed last week, and had 13 staples in his neck.
I know that you will recover as quickly as he did.

Hurray!!! :) I'm so glad all went well. You sound really chipper, even if you are still sore. I'll be praying that you heal quickly and the results of the biopsy are perfect! {{{HUGS}}}

You must feel so relieved to have that behind you. Hoping the tests are fine, and that you can get that off your mind. It's nice that you're staying here in CNY....and great that things are looking good for dh. (Hope he doesn't get too busy with work while he has housework to do. :newwink:
