Good morning everyone! Freezing rain warning here, so schools are cancelled. Guess that wonderful unpredictable March weather is upon us already (can you believe it is March 1st on Thursday??). I was supposed to work today, so all of my housework is done, so I am looking forward to a relaxing day with the dks.

Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Morning. 75 here today. Yesterday was so gorgeous that almost everyone on our street was out working in their yards. I planted a flat of petunias, flat of ground cover, flat of snap dragons, and 2 flats of impatients. Going to the gym in a little bit, and then laundry. Painters are coming to put up my outside shutters today.
Have a great one!!!

What colours did you paint and what colour shutters? I think I missed all those redecorating posts. we are finalizing indoor colours and now I want to redo the shutter, window box, and front door, and dh says no, no, no! lol! (hmmmm, wonder who'll win??? lol!). It's just a lot of work to get the shutters off, etc. I'd love to hear about what you did. Is it all finished now?

You didn't see my panic post about our door color?? LOL We painted our front door and all the trim/molding around it and deep charcoal blue (first coat of paint came out day glo blue!! LOL) and the shutters will be the same color. I got those vinyl ones..they look great will not rot!! My house is a brick house with beige trim. The last time we painted we took our shutters off and really liked it without them, but our house is a flat front without really alot of architectural interest except for the molding around the door so that is why we painted the whole thing to really make it stand out. We decided to put the shutters back on to help carry the blue across the front. The front door is a 6 pane glass and wood door.
Almost finished inside..still need to lay the tile in the entry and have the new carpet put in. Got to wallpaper the study and finish the faux paint in the entry. My plantation shutters for inside come in end of this week. They are doing the tile on Wednesday but it is supposed to rain this week, so I am not sure when they will lay the carpet.

Lordy..this got longwinded!!! LOL

Ann... can you PLEASE send me some of your nice weather? LOL I'm SO sick of SNOW... We woke up to about 5 more inches of the icky white stuff yesterday and it's starting to snow again! Ugh!!! It's also so icey yuo can hardly walk... Winter is lasting WAY too long as far as I'm concerned.

Were invited over to my mom and dad's tonight to meet my uncles new wife. He's 73 and she's MY age. (47) A lot of his brothers and sisters weren't none too thrilled about this but my dad must have come to his senses or I'm sure this meeting wouldn't be taking place. LOL I'm hoping everything turns out okay for them though.

Well, I think I'm going to go look at some of my flower/bulb magazines, decide what I want and send my order in, I can hardly wait to get outside again to do some yard work. Ann... do you have a big garden? Do you grow anything else besides flowers? I've got a very small back yard so most of it is pool and flower garden. Last year one of my friends planted a cherry tomato plant in a hanging planter and it turned out SO cute, so I'm thinking about trying a few of those. Anyway, I hope everybody has a GREAT Monday... take care! :)

Well, if this will make you feel better...a cold front is supposed to come through here on Wednesday and it will only be in the 50's!! ;) LOL

Mine are all flowers and plants..pretty much mostly shade loving ones. I have alot of trees that take aways the good direct sun.

I am with you Diane with winter seeming like it's neverending!! :( Not much planned for today. If the roads are okay we may head to my brother's hockey game tonight that was cancelled yesterday due to the weather. Have a good day everyone! :)

p.s. Ann, that *cold* front sounds unbearable! ;)

Morning! Well dd is still really sick. She has had a fever all weekend, and woke up last night and threw up. Luckily she nothing in her but juice, so not too bad of a clean up. Just phone the dr. and will take her in after lunch. She says her throat is very sore, so guess we'll get that checked.
As far as the weather goes.....it is -38C here with the wind chill and supposed to be -42C overnight. We are all so tired of this cold! Sounds like we all have yukky weather. Hope spring decides to arrive soon! LOL

Hi, everyone. The weather is yucky here too. It snowed off and all day, and the wind is really cold. I hope spring comes soon too. Hope everyone has a great day. :)
