I am just curious as to how much Daddy/son and Mother/daughter....Daddy/daughter and Mother/son time you all spend with your children....it seems like dd and I spend alot of time together alone, since dh is a work and ds in school all day....dh and ds will go to the hardware store alone together, and honestly dh and dd will only go to Walmart occassionaly as a two some.... I can't remember the last time it worked out that way...usually we are always going somewhere as a family...just curious....

Depends....my dh travels alot, so the kids are almost always both with me. Our boys are only 2 years apart...and truly best friends. Usually that means they want to go places together! It's fun for dh and I to take one ds out alone (like when the other is invited to a birthday party, for example). We make a big deal of the "date".

I can't remember my dh ever taking the girls anywhere one on one with him... but we usually always did/went everywhere together so, I guess they pretty much spent equal time with both of us. Of course, while he was at work they were home with me but... we usually always spent all of our family time together. :)

I probably did/do more one on one stuff with dd, and dh with ds, mainly cause of scouts or golf. DH has taken dd out for "date night" and she loves it, but he doesn't usually tend to just take her to run errands like I might. I think she scares him! LOL DS and I still do stuff one on one and it's fun, but not as often as when he was little. In the am, after dd leaves for school, we have about 30 minutes just the two of us. I have found if he has something bothering him, that is when I will hear about it. It's a nice time together...we usually chat or watch the Today show together and talk about what's on it.

Since I'm home spend a lot of time with dks, but when dh gets home he usually spends the greater part of the evening with them - or the 4 of us together. I have one on one with youngest ds while oldest is at preschool. I have one on one with oldest ds when youngest ds is napping or at class with dh. I will also run errands or go to the library with just one of them so dh has time alone with the other. He is also really good about taking them into school with him for various things - they love that, especially if they go to his room or the gym. :)

Since my dh works such odd hours he does not usually see the kids durning the week. When they go to bed Sunday night they usually don't see him (awake anyway) until Friday night (if they are still awake when he gets home from work). So durning th week they are always with me. Over the weekend they usally spend as much time with dh as possible. We do a few things together, but usually it's their time as I get to see him during the week while they are at school.
