The mildew thread reminded me of something. The Church has asked me to teach a 15 min. lesson on home management and home cleaning. So...

What is your favorite tip for house work or cleaning???

How about organization skills?


I hope I can do this well. This is a case of the teacher learning more than the student here!!

I love FlyLady! She's got great organization ideas. My biggest help is to dual-task whenever possible. For instance I do dishes and clean on the kitchen whenever I'm talking on the phone. I try to clean the kid's bathroom while they're taking a bath, etc.

The biggest hurdle to me is not cleaning something if it's not dirty. I fall into the trap of thinking well, if I vacuum the living room I need to dust it, organize the entertainment center and clean the sliding glass door! That means sometimes that the things that NEED to be done are put off because I feel I don't have time to do it ALL. :rolleyes:

It really helps if you clean as you go. Put stuff away when you're finished with it, clean as you cook and things won't get out of hand as easily. I'll be checking back for other ideas! :)
