school is kickin' my butt!

LOL- What on earth was I thinking going back to school? UGH!!!!! I'm taking a Spanish telecourse (on t.v.) and I thought it wouldn't be too hard since I took 2 years of Spanish in high school. Boy was I ever wrong! I do about 8 hours (yes hours) of home work a week. It is SO hard that I feel like quiting each and everyday because I get so frustrated that I don't understand it. The stange thing is that when I get my homework back I almost always get a 100%. So far the lowest I've gotten is a 96%, I just don't get it! I don't really understand it all yet I'm getting an A. How does that work? I can say that there are times that I actually understand the work that I'm doing and it's fairly easy, but for the most part I don't understand it at all! Thanks for letting me vent and get that off my chest! I think my DH is a little tired of hearing me complain about it.

LOL... you sound just like my dd! While she was going to nursing school she'd come home telling me how bad she thought she had done on a paper or test... then she'd end up getting the highest score in her class. :) When she took her boards... she was POSSITIVE she failed, and she passed with flying colors. There were MANY times she wanted to quit... but she was persistent. I guess nothing that's worthwhile ever comes easy. :) I can't BELIEVE that you have 8 HOURS of homework each week though... Ugh!!! Good luck and keep up the good work and try not to get so frustrated... I know you'll make it! :)

It was like that for me in Chemistry in the beginning. I was getting the grades, but the material wasn't logically making sense. It started to click after several weeks and only after I started integrating material from other disciplines.

wow, I'm impressed when I hear someone is going back to school.....I wouldn't be able to stand it...LOL....keep up the good work, and don't let it get you down...8o

I would love to go back to school, but not at this point....especially because I don't know what I would go back for! LOL!

That's about the way I feel... I LOVE what I do but it's not what I'm wanting to do for the rest of my life. :) I just can't figure out what I REALLY want to do. LOL I hope I can figure it out soon before I get too old to make a change. :)

Hang in there - I wanted to quit last night too, but it was just because I had a test today. Are you taking any other courses? I'll be glad when I'm get to Grad. school and only have to take classes that relate to my field. I've been doing this for so long I'm getting really tired of jumping through hoops!

Hang in there. I know it can be trying, but I know that you will make it, and come here to vent anytime that you need to. We would love to cheer you up!:)
