View Full Version : HELP! I need the Monster Cookie Recipe, fast, please!
It's the one with 4 1/2 cup oats, sugar, brown, sugar, peanut butter, etc. The recipe I have does not call for flour and that's just not working, LOL! TIA

Monster Cookies
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 cup plus 2 Tablespoons firmly packed brown sugar
2 cup crunchy peanut butter
1/4 ts vanilla extract
3/4 ts light corn syrup
4 1/2 cup regular oats, uncooked
2 ts baking soda
1/4 ts salt
1 cup M&M's softened
3 eggs
6 oz package semisweet chocolate morsels
Cream butter, gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs, peanut
butter, vanilla, and corn syrup, beat well. Add oats, soda, and
salt, stirring well. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop dough by
one-fourth cupfuls, four inches apart, onto lightly greased cookie
sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes (centers of cookies
will be slightly soft). Cool slightly on cookie sheets, remove to
wire racks and cool completely.
I hope this helps... :)

Pam,
I found several sites with the Monster Cookie recipe - but none of them contained flour. There was one recipe that said it was for Monster Cookies, but it was different - it has maple syrup, wheat flour, and nuts and stuff in it. Let me know if you want that one.

None of the monster cookie recipes that I have contain flour either but I've made the one I posted the recipes for... and they've always turned out very good. Evidently they don't NEED flour. LOL :)

Thank you for posting so fast yesterday! :) I ended up just adding a little flour to the cookie dough. I had already made it up and baked a dozen and they just didn't hold together at all. I'm not sure why, maybe I put too much peanut butter in them... they seemed really oily. Or maybe I didn't measure the oats right. Anyway, the little bit of flour helped hold things together and I ended up making Monster Cookie bars, LOL!! :) It went much faster and they turned out really well.
Diane, the regular oats, that's the old fashioned and not quick cooking, right? The recipe I had called for old fashioned but I saw another one online that called for the quick cooking ones. Go figure!
