at what age did yougo to regular shampoo for your kids?

I know this sounds silly, but I am really shor on money this year....the kids shampoo's are outrageous....when did you feel comfortable going to the whole family using one shampoo? dd is 4 and we are still using baby shampoo on her....its cheap enough when you buy no name brands....ds doens't like the word baby on the bottle...LOL...I guess I could just pour it into another bottle, but that seems so, well stupid.....:lol: we use cheapo shampoo dh and I.....ds is six...what ages did you switch...

When I was able to shampoo their hair without it getting into and stinging their eyes, I started using "regular" shampoo. I actually didn't need to use baby shampoo too much after they were about 2 maybe 2-1/2 years old. It is very overpriced... and really, isn't any better than regular shampoo. :)

I still use baby shampoo with my 2 kids (almost 6 and 7.5). I always buy the cheap kind. I guess I have never really thought about when I would switch them to regular kind. They both give themselves baths and wash their own hair- I'll probably keep using the baby kind for a while, just cuz I know how much it hurts when you get the other stuff in your eyes!

I still use it for all three of them! Dd1 is 10, ds is 6 and dd2 is 5! :rolleyes: Mostly it's out of habit, but once in a while they'll get it in their eyes and really complain, even with the baby shampoo, so I've just stuck with it. We usually get the Walmart or Suave brand. We do use regular conditioner on the girl's hair though.

We still use it here, too and my dks are 2 & 4. I stocked up a while back when it was on sale and we have yet to run out. LOL! Actually, I love how it smells. :)

I have an almost empty bottle of reg....shampoo, and this afternoon I filled it with Wal-Mart brand baby shampoo....LOL...he'll never know....thanks for your input
