Someone mentioned a joke of the day and this one just had me rolling so I thought I'd share. :)
A captain of a ship stood on deck one morning, viewing the horizon. As he spotted a pirate ship in the distance he called out to his first mate. "Quickly, go! Bring me my red shirt!" The captain led his crew in a courageous fight, ending up the victor.
Several days later not one, but TWO pirate ships approached the vessel. Once again the captain called to his first mate, "Quickly, go! Bring me my red shirt!" Again the crew was led to victory by their fearless captain.
By this time the first mate is extremely curious and wonders what it is about the red shirt that spurs the captain on. He decides to broach the matter with his beloved, fearless leader. "Captain, it is twice now that you have requested your red shirt when we are headed into a fight. Can you tell me why, sir, you request your red shirt each time, and what powers does it hold?"
"My dear first mate," the captain replies, "I wear the red shirt so that if I am injured in the fray my blood will not be seen by all and become a sign of our defeat."
Very impressed with his captain's leadership abilities the first mate walks away in awe.
The very next day the ship is once again the target of pirates. Not three, but FOUR pirate ships are seen converging on the beleaguered vessel! Once again the captain calls upon his first mate for assistance. "Quickly go! Fetch me my brown pants!"
