I tried to post this before but it didn't make it to the page so will try again, maybe I missed a button somewhere?( ?( ?( :banghead:

Just thought you would all want to know,
Ryleigh went into labor last night about 2:00 am and had to be taken to the hospital. They were able to stop the labor, but as of right now, I believe that she will be hospitalized until the babies make there official appearance. She is not due until mid-Dec. so we are all hoping for the best.
B.D.(bigdaddy) is at the hospital with her and I am at the house waiting for the kids Aunt to bring them home from gymnastics. Should be here by 7:00. They were able to go in to the hospital for a short visit after school, just to help them feel better, but are still shaken up. B.D. and Ryleigh are worried more about Skylar. She is vary emotional, and sensitive. The teacher called B.D. at the hospital and asked if he was able to come talk to her, or take her out for the day because she just wasn't coping.
He went and got her at lunch time, and they picked Spencer up after school. He seems to be ok, but that could be different when he doesn't have all his little buddies around to distract him.

Please keep them in your thoughts tonight.

I will be staying with the kids for a while, so if anyone has advice on how to help them deal with this, especially Skylar, I'd appreciate it. I don't have kids of my own, so this is all new to me.

Leasa- Good for the kids that someone who cares so much is with them. I'd say just let her talk, talk, talk...while reassuring her that the doctors are very good, and that God loves her and her family very much. Be careful about making any promises. She and her brother may want to draw a picture or write a letter for Ryleigh to look at when she feels lonely, having to be away from home. Prayers are on the way. Thanks for letting us know.

Please tell Ryleigh and Big Daddy that we are thinking of them...and praying for the time that those babies need to finish growing. I agree that letting the kids talk is the best thing. They can also make pictures...have short visits...and keep a daily journal for their mom to see. Include a pretty detailed summary of the day...maybe some quotes...handprints...lipstick kisses, etc that will help both the kids and Ryleigh.

Thank you for letting us know. Please keep us updated on what is happening. I agree with Cathy, just let the kids talk a lot and draw pictures and avoid making promises.
Please tell both Ryleigh and Big Daddy that we are all thinking of them and praying that the rest of the pregnancy goes well and as planned.

thank you again for letting us know what is happening....Tell them both we are thinking of them....our prayers are with them and the children...all of them....as far as Skylar goes, I would encourage her to talk, and ask questions from which you can reassure her that her mommy and the babies are getting the best care possible....writing letters to her mother, or taping something into a tape recorder might help her....lots of hugs are good also....bless you for being there for them...

Leasa, thank you so much for letting us know. Tell them prayers are on the way. I know that many have said they were shocked by this, but triplets, even twins are almost always very early. I guess I was not as shocked. I know how frightening this is for all, especially the kids, but certainly not unusual. (I know with my second I went into labor at 24 weeks and was terrified. Doctors were able to stop it, and then ds was about 3 and 1/2 weeks early when he made his appearance.) Glad they were able to stop labor. Ryleigh can just stay in bed and rest till they come. What a blessing that you are close by to care for the kids. Keep us informed.
