Sorry it hasn't been a great couple of days. Sometimes I swear it's February that makes me so depressed. If you haven't lived here long, it might be that this CNY (read endless, dreary, cold, blah)winter is getting to you. I've been here almost 40 years and I figure in about 10 more I should get used to it. Hang in there! It's starting to get lighter and some of the snowpack is turning brown and dirty. Believe it or not, that's a good sign.
As for being a SAHM, you would never give back the time you've spent with your children. You can work later, and have vacations and the "things" that look good to you now. I get angry when I hear that a successful woman can have it all. It sounds like you can have it all "at once". I don't know of more than a few who say they have it all, and they have made sacrifices that I wasn't willing to make. But don't get discouraged, because you can have a lot of success in steps. Now you're working on the small children, no money, lots of loving family moments (even the mornings) step. The more glamorous, fun, now we have lots of money and time step is later. And you'll appreciate it in a special way for having done the first things first. This is long and rambling, but I wanted to let you know that I understand that "knowing" you're doing the right thing doesn't mean you always "feel" right about it.
PS March starts on Thursday, and it picks up moodwise from there.
