You should move to Indiana Renee where we keep our clocks the same all year round!
No DST for us!

I hate having to turn the clocks back. When I wake upin the mornings, it's dark... when I get done with work, it's dark again... Ugh!!! It makes me feel as if I did nothing but work all day. LOL Evenings seem SO long because you can't go outside and work in the yard the way you did when it was light outside. Ugh... I can hardly wait for spring. LOL

Wow... an anniversary coming up... Happy Anniversary!!! I'd say your timing was right on... LOL :brow: How many years will you be celebrating?
Diane...
There was a post about this in the Spring when we were about change our clocks then. Well for those of you who remember how much light we had in Alaska at that time- boy had out daylight changed.
Today our sunrise was at 8:46 a.m and our sunset is at 6:41 p.m. and no, those aren't typos! I have been waking up in the dark for a few weeks now. It's really odd. We are losing about 5 1/2 minutes of light a day. Our shortest day is Dec. 21st, so we still have quite a bit of light to lose before we start getting it back again!
But I still love Alaska. Snow and all! LOL We are now on our second straight day of off and all snow. It's so beautiful!

Wow! I just can't imagine it still being dark so late in the morning. It would throw me for a loop and take some time getting used to, but it would be neat to be there and experience it like you are. :)
