Over the top mom

I just finished reading Amy/Co's post about 'over- doing' things for our kids ----- that's exactly what a friend of mine and I do, and we call ourselves the "Over the top moms". Everything has to be "just so". :D

For dd's 4th b'day, we had a rainbow theme.... I racked my brain to figure out how to have a rainbow over the front steps and doorway for the kids to walk under when they came in the house!
We got some pvc pipe and anchored it between the railings and threaded one of those rainbow colored honeycomb garlands over the pipe, and viola! - a rainbow!!

So, now dd's decided she wants a kitty cat party this year.
Anyone have any ideas for crafts, favors, games, invites, etc?
But first, I'm off to make witch hat cookies for her class!!!

Pin the tail on the cat? Maybe instead of duck duck goose, you could play mouse mouse kitty? How old are the kids?
For invites I would just make some on the computer with a picture of a cat if you have a printer. If not, what about construction paper in the shape of a cat with the information on the belly. Favours could be headbands with cat ears. You should be able to find some in the halloween section at dept. stores or even the dollar store. I have also seen cups at the dollar store that have a top that has a shape on it and they come with straws, maybe you could find some with cats on them. I'm sure they would have little toys or books with cats at the dollar store too. Good luck.
