View Full Version : Whinnnnnnning
Dh is so frustrated with dd and I get caught in the middle, she is 3 1/2 going on 35 sometimes, and when HE asks her to do something she starts to cry and can't get it done....he gets frustrated and mad, she cries harder, and it never gets done....well, I see her manipulation with him, but I don't know what to tell him...Ive explained to him that he might want to re phrase how he talks to her, being that she is so sensative, just need help with the whinny and crying jags....
this morning, dh actually calmly got dd to pick up her toys before breakfast and no screaming fight...dh was calm and it seemed to help dd....sometimes you feel like your at the end of your rope with kids and dh's and then they surprise you....LOL....
My dh tends to get very frustrated with our dd cause she is just so "different" from him in how she thinks, reacts, everything...she is almost foreign to him. LOL He has to slow down and be patient also.

I don't know if it's the way dh's ASK or tell the kids to do something or what it is but my kids use to react to dh like that too. I think it might have been something in his tone or the way he would ask/say it... but if I was the one to ask/tell them everything would be fine... It got to the point that I'd try to get to them before he did. LOL He STILL does it but now that the kids are older it doesn't seem to bother them as much. Having sensative kids doesn't help any either... LOL My middle one was like that and would cry and get hurt feelings at the drop of a hat. I do remember the frustration though. LOL
you think its a father/daughter thing too? My father was and still is the only Man who can bring me to tears with his voice....I mean my husband can make me cry if he tries hard enough....LOL..but when I was growing up all daddy had to do was look at me wrong or speak sternly and I was a mess....just something to think about?
