..... since I just found 3 BABY TOYS under furniture I moved in the dining room!!!!!!!!! (and dd is 5) ;)

I mean, my house is clean, but obviously it's been a while since I've done deep cleaning. Today has been my day to scrub the frige inside and out, dust, vacuum, mop, etc.

How often do ya'll do deep cleaning??

(thought I needed to add, dusting, mopping, etc. is not my idea of deep cleaning - but moving all the furniture is) (didn't want you to think I was a slob!!!) :D

LOL!!
I just moved the buffet and china cabinet - I just scooted the couch a little today.
I guess I get more in the mood to spring clean in the fall!

I got the cleaning itch today. I moved all the living room furniture around. Of course I hate the way it looks and will probably move it all back. Oh well, at least I did something productive today!

MM! This really leads me to believe that I have OCD. I have the cleaning girl move all the furniture weekly when she sweeps and mops the floor. I do the fridge every week too. There is absolutely nothing stored under any of the beds or on the floors of the closets. I can't handle things on the floor that don't belong there. I'm working on access database to inventory the books in the house. OH ! Seeing that in print makes me shutter. Am I my mother ? ROFL! ßß!

Before we moved I would constantly move the furniture around - not necessarily because I was in a deep cleaning mood, but just for a "change of scenery" LOL....of course once I moved it I would vacuum behind it, but that was not my motive for moving it. :D

TXmom--ROFLMAO!!!!!
I move furniture for a reason (I dropped something, something needs to be moved-like for the Christmas tree, or I'm looking for something --like keys). I'm generally amazed (and a bit disgusted!) by what we find.

I flip the couches when the in-laws are coming or guests will be spending the night before. For the in-laws just because the first couple of times my SIL visited she managed to *drop* something under the couch and we needed to flip it. Then I heard the comment about how *glad* she was that I missed things under my couch as well. Yeah right. Other than that its rare. I may give it a push to see if anything is close to the edge but that's it.

Big stuff like the entertainment centers and most of the bookshelves only get it when we move. Except for the bedrooms. I just pulled everything out and did those. Pulled apart the King size bed, dragged the solid oak bunk beds across the room and pulled out all the dressers. Everything. I'd say that's done a couple of times a year.

I deep clean probably about twice a year... and if I'm REALLY ambitioius maybe three. I'm NEVER satisfied with the way my house looks and wish it would/could stay spotless all the time but, as my FIL use to say, he likes to LIVE in his house and he could never feel totally comfortable in a house if it was too clean/picked up. LOL My house is FAR from a pigsty... (like his was) but it LOOKS clean/picked up only because I'm good at shoving things where they can't be seen. LOL (not that bad though) LOL

I don't ever just go to "deep cleaning" I might do one room at a time, or one piece of furniture at a time, so it gets done. It just never gets done at the same time.
