A day without a computer!

Wow! I didn't realize how bad the withdrawal would be and it wasn't even for a full 24 hours!! LOL! Something happened to our computer this morning and we lost everything!! :( Dh got it running again tonight and I have been trying to catch up here. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed, but am thankful it was just a day or I could never get caught up! :) I don't even want to think about re-entering all of our email addresses or trying to find all of my favorite sites, etc! What a bummer! :(

I sometimes sit and wonder what I did with all of my extra time before I had the computer... I think I'd be bored to death without it! LOL I would definitely miss it if I didn't have it I'd probably be VERY crabby without it. LOL

I am with ya girls! I am thinking that I watched a lot of TV before the computer. I use it for EVERYTHING plus I have made a lot of great friends too.

Hope you get everything up and running again soon KarlaB. Thank goodness for DH! :)

Karla-I actually had to be without a computer for 3 weeks when we moved to Colorado last summer. I thought I would go nuts!! I must have watched a lot of tv to keep my idle brain occupied/! LOL

I hear you about re entering all the lost emails and favorite pages....I had a virus a little while ago , and I still haven't fully re entered everything....sad too cuz I had some neat site but oh well....glad your back online

Ok, ya'll are depressing me now. I am going to have to go without the computer for about 3 weeks when we move to FL in a couple of months, and I hadn't thought about that until now. Thanks guys! LOL!!! I hope TV will keep me occupied. LOL!

someone told me you could use the computers in the puclic library but I don't know if that's true everywhere....computer withdrawls are awfull.....LOL

It is great to be back online! I really didn't think I'd miss it so much - sorta scary, huh? LOL! I don't know exactly what dh had to do, but yesterday I talked to the guy who sold us the computer and told him a friend was coming over to look at it. Oh no, he didn't want us to do anything and said he would stop over. He never came over. Instead he told dh over the phone (very simple process) what to do. So, does he think I am clueless?? LOL!! He really doesn't seem like he would be chauvenistic, but gee, if it was so simple why couldn't he tell me how to fix it? I am the one who got us back online on my own when dh was telling me I should call our ISP to have them walk me through it. Aargh! :)
