Here's a site that has all kinds of recipes for APPLES...

http://www.grannyskitchen.com/apple/

Here's a recipe... but not sure this is what you're looking for.

Ingredients
4 cored Granny Smith apples
1/4 to 1/3 cup brown sugar
3 Tablespoons butter
currants and finely ground nuts
Watkins Apple Bake Spice or combo of cinnamon and allspice
1/3 cup bourbon
1/3 cup water

Remove a strip around each apple and place in an 8- or 9-inch baking dish. Fill each hole with brown sugar and press down to pack. Add a teaspoon of butter; press down. Add a few currants and ground nuts. Add brown sugar to cover opening and sprinkle with spice. Add to dish 1/4 to 1/3 cup brown sugar (or to taste) and 3 Tablespoons butter. Pour in 1/3 cup each of water and bourbon. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 1 hour or until apples are soft when pierced with a toothpick. Baste every 15 minutes. Serve apples warm in footed dishes with some of the sauce. Pass cream pitcher or whipped cream as desired
