Many know that I want dd and grandpa to make ornaments. I have purchased clear ornaments and white paint and glitter.

My plan is to put the white paint and glitter inside and let them shake them.
Has anyone tried this?? Will this work? I bought the supplies, but haven't tried it.

Thought that I would check here for "experienced crafters"
What do you think???

I've never tried doing this, but it sounds cute. Why don't you try doing one first to see how they turn out? Let me know... sounds like a cute/easy idea for a Christmas craft for my day care kids. :)

Did them last year with red and green paint, they turned out soooo nice. But you do have to water down the craft paint a little bit or you can't get it to swirl around. Let sit upside down to dry(egg carton works well).
Have fun!!

Never made one but all of the examples I've seen at the craft store use at least two colors of paint swirled together for a marbled effect. they look really nice.

Will the paint coat the glitter? Normally glitter is added to the top of paint to prevent that. I'd suggest doing a test run of your own.

I made them a couple years ago with ds. We used two colors of paint - just squeezed some in and them swirled them around. It was simple and they were cute. :)

They sound really cute/easy to make. What kind of paint would you use? I've been wondering what I could have my kids make their mom's and dad's this year for Christmas... I think I've found what I was looking for! LOL Thanks!
