Our small town theatre probably won't get it for a couple of weeks yet....but we are definately going when it does get here! The kids are loving the commercials for it!

Enjoy!

I can't wait to see it! I read an absolute rave review in the paper, praising it higher than the Toy Story movies.

Ann, that is so smart buying the tickets ahead of time. I need to do that. Let us know if it's as good as it's touted.

2 of my dd's saw it tonight. They liked it, said it was clean (but corny), and said the theater was full of laughing kids.

I brought home a happy meal for ds on Friday. I think that is what prompted his call to grandma. He wanted to go to McDonald's first thing this morning!

Ann, I'm glad you loved the movie. My parents took my kids yesterday and they all thought it was great too. We are off to McDonalds now for a breakfast happy meal so we can get a Monsters Inc. toy.

It was so much fun!!! The boys are still sleeping right now, dh has gone to get donuts. They were hysterical last night! After the movie we had pizza delivered. I set the dining room with Monster, Inc plates and hats (really kind of as a joke) they love the hats and were all wearing them!!! They got so silly and decided to make a band out of their plates and cans and did a parade down the street singing Christmas caroles! LOL We did cake, and I put trick candles on them, and ds was quite amused. They started inhaling the helium from the baloons and singing more songs!!! Then they watched a movie (Vertical Limit...really good, right at the edge of your seat kind of movie!) and at 10 went out wrapping. They wrapped 5 houses, each boy got two rolls of paper per house! They got busted at every house they went to! After that they came back spread their sleeping bags in the den and watched Shrek. Dh and I never heard a word out of the after that. It was way more easier than I thought it would be.

He turned 12. There were a total of 7 boys. We woke them up at 8 for pick up at 9.

Dh and I went on a date last night: dinner at home, desert at Damon's (with a round of the quiz game), shopping at the mall and then saw MONSTERS INC. It was really good. Did you all catch the short at the beginning with the birds on an electric line??? I thought it was even better than the one before toy story of the guy playing chess with himself. I wasn't sure I would like Monsters Inc. But it was really funny. I think ds is still too young to see it but maybe dh will get it on dvd and he can watch it in a few years. Has anyone taken any 2 yos to see it?

I thought the cartoon with the birds was hysterical!!! The boys all laughed when they were "naked"! LOL (gotta love preteen boys!)

I wouldn't think ANY two year old would do well in a movie theater. Have you taken yours to many?

Ann, sounds like a wonderful party!

AnnW.. We used to belong to a summer movie camp. Once a week they go for free movies at a local theater. I've taken my kids to the movies since they were infants and never had a bit of trouble unless there was a scary part. I guess it's all what you are used to.

Well now I guess I have to change my mind on this movie. Dh came home from work yesterday saying that some people had gone to see it and that it was the funninest movie they'd ever seen and would I like to go this Friday. I rold my eyes and said no, but if adults are finding it entertaining maybe we will take ds tomorrow. He's 12.

Annw, you're a brave woman. I remember when ds was 10 he wanted a pool party. His BD is the end of Feb. Well, we rented 2 rooms at the Hampton Inn and invited 7 of his friends. That was an evening to remember!! Sounds like your party was a success.

Kat, my ds is now 12, and all the boys that it was hysterical! Why were you hesitating about taking your ds?
I think a 10 year old party would be harder! LOL
