Hi I've been trying to find a design for a thing we used to make as kids to tell your fortune. It was made from a regular piece of school paper and folded so it would sit atop 4 fingers you then wrote names, colors no#s and such on certain places you ask a friend to give you a # then counted it out to answer a? Does anyone know what i'm talking about and if so could you email me as to how it was folded?? Thanks a bunch your childs future may depend on it.
I think thats what they call it, I'm not sure how to fold it, but I am sure someone here will know....good luck...

I'm not sure but this may be what you were discribing.....
Take a square piece of paper and fold all four courners into the middle to form a smaller square. Then flip over so folded corners are down and do the same thing on the opposite side. Fold in half and then pick up and open the four smaller squares formed on the corners. These make the holes where you can insert your fingers. Add your fortunes, colors, whatever you want and have fun. It's actually easier than it sounds.:)

I love these things! They are actually an origami design from Japan. I think they were used as salt holders...but don't quote me on that. Here is a site that has a downloadable template for them, in case the directions are confusing. I know for me I do better when I can see the steps, rather than read them.
