Hi!
My brother's girlfriend is having her tonsils removed :\ Friday and I wanted to make her some special feel-better foods that are easy on the throat... any suggestions?! I was thinking I'd package up some of the hot cocoa mix I make, but want to take her more than just that! I'm completely drawing a blank!!
Thanks for the help!!
I am not sure that something HOT would feel very good on her throat. How about jello, pudding, milkshakes..something cool and soothing.

Ds had his out in June and cold liquids were better on his throat.
She will need to drink plenty and popsicles and ice cream and jello would probably feel best. As far as food, ds prefered easy stuff such as kraft dinner. Canned pasta would be good too because there isn't any meat or veggie chunks in it. Not exactly gourmet but it's soft and easy to swallow. Maybe some homemade soup would be good in a few days after the tonsilectomy. Or if you wanted to do something special, make her favorite meal for her in a about two weeks when she can eat it, by then she will be sick of pudding and macaroni and will be wanting 'real' food.

Thanks so much for the suggestions!! I wasn't even thinking about the fact that hot chocolate is HOT!!!! LOL I was just thinking it's a liquid!!!
The pasta ideas are great, too!! GREAT idea to wait until she's recouped enough to eat real food again and make her something special she'll really enjoy!!
Thanks a bunch!!! ;)
