Bacon is something we rarely eat, like maybe 2 or 3 times a year, but every now and then I love to cook a big breakfast on impulse and would love to have bacon. Does it freeze well? If so, how long can you keep it in the freezer?

Hmmm, I don't know? I would buy the pre-cooked bacon and freeze it. So I guess you could fry it yourself and do the same thing? The package I bought about 3 weeks ago says "prepare or freeze by Feb 9th 2002." So I would think you could even leave it in the frig for quite some time.

I hope so or I am in trouble. Just let it thaw completely or cut a section off and let it thaw completely. It doesn't pull apart well if you try it before its completely thawed. You can also freeze it in the size portions you want to thaw. Sometimes if I am lazy I will throw it in before completely thawed and it will separate (sp) in the skillet.
